It’s always fun to make a paper sculpture, but it’s even more fun to make one that can dance!

In this family friendly workshop, Annie will help students create their own, unique automation! Each student will draw a character of their choice, creating separate appendages and then painting all the parts, including the hollow box on which will become the stage..

While we wait for our character to dry, we will learn how the crank device works and how to construct it to get the most action for each character. After we attach the crank to our character comes the really fun part… We’ll turn on the music and have an automaton dance party!

This is a family friendly workshop! Parents or caregivers of younger children are welcome to stay and assist their child. Kids 8+ are welcome to attend alone.
