I am a maker of many things. Sometimes I make pottery and sometimes I make prints. Sometimes I work with fabric and sometimes I work with torn paper. I don’t like to waste materials, so after a series of prints I will create a series of collages with the not so successful prints. After a run of pottery, a bunch of beads or tiny sculptures from the leftover scraps.

No matter what I am making, I draw inspiration for my work from the natural world that surrounds me. I am drawn to colors and textures found in nature. They find their way into both my prints and my pottery.

I love being outside. If I am inside, I’m sitting close to a window, looking outside. I believe the purpose of my work is just a simple desire to bring a bit of the natural beauty from outside, inside.
