“I search for ways to fill a void caused by grief and loss by expressing myself through a variety of media, as well as give permanence to ephemera reminiscent of a much simpler time. My work discusses an indescribable shift in my sense of self after the loss of my daughter. I confront my pain, and attempt to replace desolation with the satisfaction that comes from creating art. Each piece represents a physical manifestation of my internal discomfort – thus, an ugly memory becomes a beautiful creation.”
