Urban sketching is a form of artistic reportage. It’s the act of drawing or painting on location in the cities, towns, or villages that you live in and travel to. You are capturing a moment in time in a unique, artistic way. 

Friday evening we will work in the studio practicing the techniques on objects. Saturday and Sunday we will walk through Farmville and select buildings to record in our journals.  This is a messy, fun, loose way to capture an image without the tediousness of realism.

• All of your materials will be provided and yours to take home.

• Bring a bag lunch on Saturday June 8. A water bottle is recommended for both days as we will be walking around outdoors.

We are offering a Refresher Course for any of our previous Urban Sketching students at 1/2 price! Each student will be responsible for their own materials.
