In this wet-felting class you’ll learn the secrets of creating 3D rounded vessels out of wool (you’ll be making two of them). Though some felting projects require hours of dedicated concentration and detail work, the making of our vessels will be anything but that. You’ll first choose your colors from mounds of luxurious wool mixed with shimmering silk fibers. Once you have arranged your designs you’ll love how easy we’re going to coax your masterpieces through the various stages of felting and fulling.

We’ll liven things up a bit with a taste of the rituals that people through the centuries have done to pass the time while felting and fulling.  A bit of music, camaraderie, and a wee taste of something sweet to replenish our strength, of course.

You’ll have a chance to make two lovely vessels in this workshop, each approximately 5”—6” in diameter, depending on how you shape it during the felting process.  They will make beautiful candy dishes, containers for dried flowers, cherished gifts for those you love, or stand-alone masterpieces to display.  They look absolutely adorable with an air plant occupant, as well.

Oh, and this;  prepare to get splashed!  Not big splashes, but the errant soapy ones that felting can sometimes surprise you with. If you have sensitive skin, you’re welcome to bring whatever waterproof gloves you wish (I will have the disposable type).
