Join us for this Friday’s Art Exploration: Junk Bots!

A full day of Junk Bots! We will begin by learning the very basics of woodworking, starting with the tools and how to use them. Kids will use sandpaper, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers and, if they prove themselves careful enough, the awe-inspiring Japanese hand saw, to create robots out of scrap wood, nails, screws and other junky bits

This has become one of the Red Door 104 kids’ most favorite projects. It is a challenging but super fun activity that requires kids to use their problem solving skills to find all the various robot parts, the right sized screws or nails and then figure out how to assemble their bot!

This camp is for kids age 8 and older. All skill levels are welcome.

*We work hard and play hard during our summer camps! Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes as we will go outside to eat and run around on the lawn next door. Also, please be sure to bring a water bottle, snack and lunch each day. Refrigeration is available.
