Show how small art can make a big impact! Intimacy and detail in tiny pieces can be as powerful as large works. We’re seeking small artworks in any medium—photography, paint, sculpture, paper, ink, fiber, etc. No theme required; the only rule is “small” (12”x12”.) Pieces may be literal, figurative, abstract, or anywhere between. Submissions may be rejected if they do not conform to the terms.
Each artist may submit up to four pieces for a submission fee of $40. All of these funds go toward ribbons and cash prizes:
1st place $200.00
2nd place $100.00
3rd place $50.00
A gallery reception will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 5:30 pm. If you are submitting art, remember to invite your family and friends to your reception. If you are not submitting, please join us for a fun evening celebrating our community’s favorite artists! Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.
Competition Terms:
All artwork is due in the gallery no later than April 17th.
Small works can be in any medium, either 2-D or 3-D.
Maximum size of entries must not exceed 12” in any direction including frames or other structures. To be accepted, all 2D art must come ready to hang with proper hanging hardware.
There is no minimum size requirement.
Stretched canvas should have eye hooks screwed into the inside of the frame 1/8th” from top.
Submission fee is $40. For up to four pieces.
Additional pieces may be submitted for a fee of $10.00 each.
Art on paper must be framed using only black frames and white mats (mats not required)
No plastic frames will be accepted. (hard resin okay)
All work must be for sale.
All submissions are due in the gallery by 5:00 pm Friday, April 17th, 2026.
You must complete the inventory form and submit it with your pieces.
All pieces must be for sale.
Pieces may not be removed prior to May 30th, 2026.
Entrance into this exhibition indicates the artist's acceptance of any and all terms and conditions stated in this or other information regarding this competition. It is agreed that the artist will present selected image(s), matted and framed according to specifications required and stated by the gallery, by the deadline. Any work that does not meet the specifications will not be displayed.
It is understood the RED DOOR 104 Gallery shall charge a commission of 35% on all original works displayed and sold during the duration of the exhibition or from the website. We will have unlimited use and display of images on the gallery website and social media sites for the purposes of promotion. Promotional usage of images shall be free of royalty and no extra charge will be sustained by the artist(s) or gallery for said promotional usage. Display of any and all images in exhibition shall be at the discretion of the curator.
It is further understood that the Red Door 104 Gallery will not be held responsible for the payment of return postage on any artwork nor will the gallery be held liable for damages sustained during shipping due to mishandling by couriers or improper packaging. The Red Door 104 Gallery will insure the work in exhibition for the duration of the exhibition at no cost to the artist(s).
By paying the non-refundable entry fee, the entrant signifies that they have read and understood the above terms and conditions.
