Sarah Foss, owner and operator of Sassy Flower Lady Designs, started as a fiber artist six years ago when she was pregnant with her first child. Crocheting, for her, started as a creative outlet while relaxing in the evenings. Today, her hobby has flourished into a thriving business that has allowed her to grow as an artist. Sarah is best known for her unique sassy gifts and accessories sure to make your heart leap for joy.
Growing up in a military family coupled with her own military service afforded her the opportunity to travel the country and explore various creative avenues.
Sarah has always had a passion for the arts, whether it be poetry, music, singing, painting, drawing, or jewelry making. An outstanding soloist award at a national jazz competition for an improv solo on the trumpet, spending her senior year painting a mural in her high school band room, and being hand picked to illustrate & paint four large canvas paintings now hanging in a North Carolina elementary school are among some of her achievements.
Currently, Sarah spends her Saturday mornings at the Farmville Community Marketplace selling her beautiful fiber creations and offering free craft activities to kids of all ages.
Sarah's passion for everything yarn has led her on an exciting journey these past six years, from craft festivals to starting a fiber artists Meet-up group in Oklahoma City. She is beyond excited to share her knowledge and help ignite a love for the fiber arts with all.
