Exploring Modern Art

Wednesdays: 1:00 pm to 3:00 Pm

Beginning September 5th 2018 we will begin the Modern Art Course.  Originally designed as a program for Home Schooled students, this course is intended to supplement their academic curricula. Each month, students will learn the history behind new styles and the founding artists, followed by an art project based on that artist. They’ll be learning impressionism, post impressionism, cubism, abstract, surrealism, pop art and copy the masterpieces of those artists.  This is the perfect class for students who love to paint and explore!

  • 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

$80 per four week session plus $35 materials fee.

Class fees will be collected at the beginning of every four weeks

This nine month course is specifically designed for students interested in learning painting and drawing techniques used by the masters of modern art.

Children will be introduced to a variety of artists with an opportunity to master techniques and mediums in creating their own masterpieces.  They will be gently guided and encouraged to discover individual interests that they wish to focus on such as impressionism, surrealism, pop art, fauvism, abstract and cubism.  Course is broken down into four week sessions.
